Origins of The Yamaha Corporation
Yamaha Corporation was formed in Japan at the end of the 19th century, in 1887 to be exact. Torakusu Yamaha founded the company in Hamamatsu in the Shizuoka prefecture of Japan. The headquarters is still located in this prefecture of Japan, but the factory and headquarters moved to Iwata in 1972. Yamaha is a diverse company that has been making products for over a century, which is just incredible.
Although Yamaha does manufacture various products, they’re particularly well-known for being involved in major racing events worldwide.
